Christmas is coming, and that means New Year's Eve is soon to follow.  If you don't want to stay home alone and watch the ball drop with Dick Clark, now is the time to start planning a party to ring in a new year of fun and adventure.  Here are some do's and don'ts that will help you turn an ordinary gathering into an extraordinary event.

DO plan to have lots of snacks and drinks.  No one will make it til midnight if they're starving and thirsty!  Jello shots made in penis-shaped ice cube trays, lollypops in the shape of naked women, and risque mac n' cheese will keep your guests feeling full and frisky.

DON'T feel like you need to invite everyone you know.  Sometimes all you need is a small group of friends who are looking to have a good time. 

DO bring out the board games.  Playing games on New Year's Eve was a tradition I loved from my childhood.  Revisit it as an adult with grown-up twists on old favorites like Truth or Dare, Charades, and Ring Toss.  

DON'T get so caught up in playing host or hostess that you forget to have a good time yourself.  Do as much as you can to get prepared before the party so you'll have time to relax and enjoy your night.

and finally . . .

DO thank your guests for coming by giving out fun little trinkets as the clock strikes 12.  Pecker party favors for the ladies, keychain condoms for the not-so-gentle men.

Then make a resolution to have equally as much fun ringing in 2007!

Christmas is coming, and what better way to celebrate than with an adult version of everyone's favorite jolly fat man?
